This policy describes how we collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information in connection with this website. It applies when you browse the site, submit forms, register a warranty, use the stockist locator, or complete an online purchase. It should be read with our terms of use and any product-specific notices we publish.
3. Personal information we collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:
- Identity and contact details — name, email address, telephone number, postal address, and the content of messages you submit through website forms, including warranty and contact submissions.
- Transaction information — details of products you select, order information, and payment-related data processed by our payment provider. We do not store complete payment card numbers on our own systems.
- Technical and usage information — IP address, browser type, device information, general location derived from IP address, pages viewed, and interactions on the site, collected through cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies where necessary to operate the website and, where applicable, to remember preferences. We also use analytics to understand how the site is used and to measure commercial activity.
- Google Analytics 4 is used to collect aggregated information about traffic, navigation, and e-commerce-related events. Google processes data in accordance with its own terms and policies. Further information is available in Google’s documentation on how partners use data.
- Our hosting and content delivery environment may collect technical and performance data incident to serving the website. That processing is governed by the arrangements we have with our infrastructure providers.
You may restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. Restricting cookies may affect the availability or behaviour of some features.
5. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd and its affiliates as our payment service provider. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe under its terms and privacy policy. We receive the information we need to confirm and fulfil your order, including payment outcome, transaction amount, and contact and delivery details you provide at checkout.
6. Email and notifications
Transactional emails (order confirmations, responses to enquiries, and similar communications) are sent using third-party email delivery infrastructure. Those providers process recipient addresses and message content only as required to deliver the communication.
7. Stockist locator and maps
The stockist locator displays location-based content using third-party mapping services. Those providers may process technical data required to retrieve and display map imagery and location information, in accordance with their own terms.
8. Purposes of use
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- to operate the website, shopping cart, and checkout;
- to process and deliver orders and to send related communications;
- to respond to enquiries, warranty claims, and support requests;
- to analyse and improve our website, products, and customer experience;
- to meet legal and regulatory requirements; and
- to pursue our legitimate business interests, where permitted by law.
9. Disclosure
We disclose personal information to service providers that assist us with hosting, analytics, payments, email delivery, mapping, and related functions, and to government or law enforcement agencies where required by law. Some service providers may be located outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the recipient handles the information in a manner consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), where that obligation applies.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Access, correction, and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Requests and privacy complaints should be directed to info@activflo.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
